Our cakes come in three main styles
6" and 8" round cakes available in-store daily or by pre-order with as little as 48 hours' notice, pending availability. Available in any of our dessert cake flavors, and with optional vanilla buttercream house designs.
Available in a wider range of sizes than our shop cakes, and in almost any buttercream design, with at least a week's notice, pending availability.
We recommend scheduling a tasting appointment, which involves sampling five cake flavors of your choice during a design session with one of our order consultants.

The prices quoted above are base prices; our dessert cake flavors and house designs are included in the base price, some custom selections require an additional charge.
Most of our cakes are scratch-made Italian genoise sponge cakes. We also make pound cake.
Our shop cakes are made with three cake layers and two filling layers. Wedding cakes are made with four cake layers and three filling layers. Custom cake construction varies.
We specialize in buttercream icing; fondant isn’t our thing.
Looking for something specific? Be sure to ask before ordering. There are often many ways to create a particular dessert or recipe, and our way may not be the "traditional" way or the way you expect. We're happy to provide details about any of our goods, and provide samples of elements like fillings and icings, to make sure you'll love what you choose.
All of our goods are one-of-a-kind, with their own unique character - our colors are mixed in small batches, and our cakes are assembled, iced, and decorated by hand - so some variation is to be expected.
All orders are accepted pending availability. Our schedule is first-come-first-serve and can book at any time, so we recommend pre-ordering with payment as early as possible for the best chance of securing a spot. Shop cakes can be pre-ordered in-store or at 704-525-0145; custom cakes and wedding cakes can be ordered only in-store.
In the event we're booked for a particular date or you need a cake on short notice we may still be able to help—we make shop cakes for our display case every day, so you can always stop by without pre-ordering to pick up a fresh one (unless we sell out that day). You can even call ahead to see which flavors and designs we have on hand, and reserve your favorite with payment.
We don't use preservatives in any of our goods. We recommend keeping our cakes refrigerated in their bakery box or an air-tight container - for up to three days - until thirty minutes to an hour before serving. Any left-overs should also be refrigerated in either an air-tight container or bakery box wrapped in cling film.
Condensation may form on a cake during refrigeration, depending on temperature and humidity; this is normal, will not adversely affect the cake, and will generally subside when left at room temperature for about thirty minutes to an hour.
Cake pre-orders can generally be modified or canceled with at least one week's notice, with some changes requiring more than one week's notice, and wedding cakes requiring at least 3 weeks' notice. All modifications/cancellations must be done in writing in-store or via email.
